The Center for Peace & Justice at Prescott College used ROX #95 in their programming.
During Thanksgiving of 2005, fourteen Prescott College students went to New Orleans for a week to help with grassroots community relief. The students participated in food distribution, house-to-house cleanup and salvage operations, and emotional support for beleaguered residents. Before that, several members of the Prescott College community were among the earliest waves of relief assistance in New Orleans and the Gulf region immediately following Hurricane Katrina. Members of the college community have sponsored workshops and forums on the situation in New Orleans, organized musical events and benefit shows, and coordinated logistical support for ongoing relief efforts. The C4PJ sponsored the commemorative event "'The World Will Remember': Two Years and Counting Since Hurricane Katrina" in August 2007; presented the cutting-edge film "BIG EASY TO BIG EMPTY — The Untold Story of the Drowning of New Orleans" in November 2006; and aired this film plus "ROX-TV: 15 Months After Katrina" on local cable access Channel 13 as part of our PJTV series. Rock on New Orleans!
